The highly-touted “family” TV movie, Secrets of the Mountain, captured the number one spot when it aired April 16, 2010. The nationwide “Vote With Your Remote” Campaign helped drive it to the number one spot.
“A clear message has been sent,” said Secrets executive producer, Ben Simon. “American families want more high-quality programming that they can enjoy together. We’ve heard their voice, and more great family movies are on the way.”
Secrets of the Mountain is the first in a series of movies that Walmart and Procter & Gamble have partnered to produce.
“Somewhere between the demands of her career, her ex’s wedding and her kids’ busy schedules, Dana James (Paige Turco, The Agency) is noticing her tight-knit family starting to unravel. An unexpected offer to purchase her family’s mountain property sets up a weekend road trip, which she hopes will bring her family back together. But when they arrive, they quickly learn that the mountain is much more than it seems. An ancient secret and a treacherous quest will test the family like never before. It’s an edge-of-the seat thriller that reminds us that when times are tough, families don’t run away from problems – they run back to each other.”

My 10 year old son loves Michael Jackson! In fact, he is a member of The Performing Arts Group at his school. This past Thursday, The Performing Arts Group put on a concert. My son’s part in the concert was a tribute to Michael Jackson. I have to say, I was a little nervous for my son but I can tell you that I was amazed at his performance!! He definitely has a lot more nerve than I did at his age. The whole school loved him!! He has mastered the Moon Walk! Here are a couple pictures from the concert.

The other day I came across an awesome review & giveaway at The B Keeps Us Honest for Gloria Rhoads Berlin’s book, Michael Jackson: In Search of Neverland. Of course I entered the giveaway. If I win, my son will be so excited!
If you are a Michael Jackson fan, go to The B Keeps Us Honest and enter the giveaway. Giveaway ends 5/28.
I hate packing lunches……I am sure I would not win the “Mom of the Year Award” if it were based on packing lunches. What I hate even more is the left over food that is brought home in all those nasty, smelly baggies! What do you do with them? I feel guilty throwing them away but it’s way too much of a hassel to wash them out….. So what’s a Mom to do? GET YUBO!!!
What is Yubo? Yubo is a Lunchbox System that is simple, functional, eco-friendly, antimicrobial, BPA free, dishwasher safe and FUN!!!
Yubo was created by Parents, Cyndi Pedrazzi, Paul Pedrazzi, and Dan Harden.
“In 2007, while making lunches for our two daughters, we became frustrated with the amount of plastic baggies used every day. The typical store bought lunchboxes we owned were impossible to clean, they collected crumbs and foul old-food odors. Worst of all, our kids were over the novelty of their lunchboxes less than a week after buying them! That was the start of our journey to re-invent the lunchbox. We knew there had to be a better way. We set out to balance our passion for the environment with our kids’ passion for having fun.”
Yubo comes in three colors: Pink, Blue and Orange. What makes Yubo Fun is the changeable faceplates. There are several different faceplates to choose from or you can customize your own faceplate with uploaded pictures or artwork. How cool is that?
Recently I was sent a Yubo to review. I love it and my Daughter loves it!! It’s Clean, Cute and NO MORE BAGGIES!!

If you would like to become more “Green” and add some fun to lunchtime, go with Yubo!
You can purchace a Yubo Lunchbox at:
